The project Arithmetic and Geometry in central Africa is the result of a series of scientific events organized in the Region. It is therefore based on experience acquired over time. We want to innovate by sharing our skills and ideas with the arithmeticians and algebraists involved. It is an open project and we are always on the lookout for new ideas.
In terms of research, our energies and resources are concentrated on promising students from Central Africa, either identified or recommended, who are motivated by arithmetic and geometry. The first students come from Republic of Congo, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Senegal, and Cameroon. The project will enable us to expand this group of doctoral students and involve researchers from Europe, the USA, as well as from Africa.
Our scientific activities include doctoral supervision, online presentations, but above all working groups, workshops, face-to-face meetings and research stays in Africa and Europe.
Our actions are also punctuated by outreach activities.
For these events, we have chosen the École Normale Supérieure de Libreville as our base.
