Over the past few years, the international mathematics community has stepped up its efforts to ensure that women are fully represented and actively engaged. Achieving this goal is a long-term commitment that demands sustained energy and initiatives carefully adapted to the local context. Within this framework, our program places strong emphasis on supporting young female students participating in the project. Tony Ezome, one of our coordinators, is member of Committee for Women in Mathematics (CWM) from the International Mathematical Union (IMU) for the periods (2019-2022) and (2023-2026).
Through our actions (since PREMA), we have been able to :
- Support the establishment of the The Cameroon Women in Mathematics Association (CAWOMA) in 2016.
- Support the establishment and development of the Association des femmes mathématiciennes du Gabon in 2022.
- Support the establishment in July 2025 of the Association des Femmes en Mathématique du Congo (AFEMCO) in 2025.
